£2 will buy paper and pencils for a child living in a shanty town to do thier homework at an after school community centre.
£5 will buy a spade and fork for growing family food or for a gardener to find work.
£6 will buy a School Term Starter Pack - a back pack, pencil, note book, rubber, ruler, pencil sharpener and crayons without which a child may not begin school classes.
£10 will buy a saw, hammer and measure for a carpenter to start to find work
£20 will buy 2 Fruit trees to provide vitamins for children living in the shanties.
£30 will buy 5 books for the children to read in an after school centre.
£50 will buy a bicycle so that a shanty dweller can get to work
£100 could help to set up a Carpentry workshop.
£100 will start an orchard.
£200 will set up a kindergarten.
£450 will buy an industriell sewing machine to teach sewing skills at a project.
£600 will buy a computer for a project so that shanty children have access for their homework.
£650 will buy an Industrial Sewing Machine for a leather workshop.
£1000 will buy a windturbine for a mountain school without access to other forms of energy.
A further £500 will pay for the installation of the turbine.
Remember that at CDUK we have no paid employees and therefore our overheads are low and most of the money that you donate will be taken by a CDUK Trustee directly to local projects to make sure that your donation is not wasted.
